Lotto winner still has to claim P741 Million

MANILA, Philippines—The winner of the P741-million lotto jackpot, who has yet to claim his/her prize but is likely to remain anonymous, beat odds of one in nearly 29 million to guess the right combination of six numbers between one and 55.
Margarita Juico, the chair of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), which operates the Grand Lotto 6/55, said the PCSO had no idea about the winner of the biggest pot ever save for the fact that the person had placed his or her bet somewhere in Luzon.
Later in the day, Liza Gabuyo, PCSO assistant general manager, said the bettor’s ticket, a lucky pick, was purchased in Olongapo City, Zambales province.
“It was bought in the day prior to the draw,” Gabuyo said.
She said the winner would be given one check for the full jackpot, which is tax-free.
To dispel doubts about the integrity of the process of picking winners, Juico said she was open to revising the PCSO protocol and allowing the winning tickets to be made public.

Mel Gibson's Ex speaks...

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend talked about the couple's bitter breakup and the court fight over custody of their 1-year-old daughter in an interview set to air Wednesday night on CNN's "Larry King Live."
It is Oksana Grigorieva's first in-depth television interview about her domestic violence accusations against the actor.
She said she tried to forgive Gibson for an incident last January in which she says he "assaulted me while I was still holding the baby in my arms."
"I forgave him in a couple of weeks' time after the first, you know, severe beating that, you know, he struck me twice with his fist and then he was choking me and whilst I was holding Lucia and not protecting myself," Grigorieva said.
She said her 12-year-old son with actor Timothy Dalton witnessed the incident.
"Then we went on towards the pool and he had been screaming and yelling and then he told us, you know, to get the 'f' out and went to get the gun," she said. "And I asked my son to get in the car and that's how we left the 6th of January and from then on every day he was apologizing."
Gibson's lawyer declined to give a public response to Grigorieva's claims, citing confidentiality requirements in a family law case.
Grigorieva denied that she leaked recordings of phone calls from Gibson that were published by a gossip website.
Gibson and Grigorieva will be together again in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday in the custody battle for daughter Lucia.
The Los Angeles County district attorney is considering evidence gathered by sheriff's investigator to decide if a domestic violence case will be made against Gibson, according to a spokeswoman for the prosecutor.
Detectives are also investigating Gibson's charge that Grigorieva tried to extort him with the phone recordings, a sheriff's spokesman said.

“There was no way I was gong to quit. I’m a Mexican, we fight until the end,” Margarito said.
Margarito was not able to attend the postfight news conference at the request of the fight doctor due to his condition.

Pacquiao vs Margarito

Pacquiao: A shifty assassin with dynamite in both fists, the Filipino southpaw is a sharpshooter of the highest order. His straight left is a concussive weapon, while his right hand wallops do a lot of damage as well. Pacman has improved his feet, control of distance and overall command of ring geometry and geography. At 5’6” with a 67 inch reach, he is extremely small for a welterweight, but especially for a junior middleweight—even if the bout is at a catchweight of 150. Amazingly he's still just 31 years old, despite a championship resume dating back to 1998.
Margarito: A slugger who takes punishment, only to unleash it back on his opponent with greater menace. A rangy puncher, Margarito goes to the body well and throws a lot of punches. His left hook, both upstairs and to the body, is a great weapon. When at his best, he’s a passionate brawler who hurls himself at the task at hand with total passion. Despite the Mosley knockout, he has shown himself to be a durable campaigner. At 5’11” with a 73 inch reach, he will have a big size advantage over Pacquiao. At 32 years old, Margarito is 9 months older than Manny.

Korean actress Lee Da-Hae mocks Filipino's english accent

There has been an uproar recently on the Internet after a Youtube clip of actress Lee Da Hae surfaced which showed her demonstrating how English was spoken in different countries.
The clip was from defunct KBS2TV variety show, “Sweet Night“, and it featured Lee Da Hae as one of the guests. Lee and her family had stayed in Sydney, Australia for five years, where she graduated fromBurwood Girls High School, and thus she has a good command of English.
It was fine when Lee Da Hae was asked to demonstrate speaking English with American and British accents, but when asked to demonstrate how it would be like with a Filipino accent (according to the show’s graphics), Lee spoke in a way which sounded rather insulting, and it angered many Filipinos who got wind of the video.
According to her, she is only making fun without any intentions to put the Filipinos down and that she refers to the accent in Asia, not just the Filipino accent.  But on my keen observation with Koreans who are living in the Philippines even discriminate  and act dominantly over the Filipino people.  That shouldn't be the case because they are just only strangers in the Philippines(they should behave as aliens)  and regarding with the ''accent'' issue, it's undoubtedly and absolutely that Filipinos are way  much better in speaking English, unlike the Koreans which is so hard to teach and sounds like chipmunks when they  speak English because of their accent.

Mail - Bomb

A suspicious package personally addressed to the chancellor of Germany was sent from Greece and resembled a series of small mail bombs found in Athens, Germany's top security official says.
Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said the package, which arrived Tuesday midday at the mailroom of the Chancellor Angela Merkel's office, was sent from Greece two days earlier.
The package in Berlin came on the heels of a series of small mail bombs, two of which exploded outside the Russian and Swiss embassies in Athens, in attacks blamed on far-left domestic extremists.
